SUMMARY:TALES first training event in Naples
DESCRIPTION:The TALES 1st Induction School took place in Naples from Feb 16th and 20th 2026. The school covered observational and theoretical aspects of the temporal properties of AGN as well as topics related to data science and machine learning. The astronomy lectures included fundamentals of timing analysis and statistics\, introduction to accretion flow modeling\, variability and transient science as a probe of the feeding and feedback cycle of supermassive black holes\, machine learning applications to astronomy. A technical course was also be offered on how to develop Artificial Intelligence models. The schedule and accompanying material can be found at the Indico event page.

SUMMARY:XRISM International Conference 2025: Opening a New Era of the Dynamic Universe
DESCRIPTION:XRISM\nInternational Conference 2025 \n– sponsored by the JSPS core-to-core program – \nOpening a New Era of the Dynamic Universe \nOctober 20-24\, 2025\, Kyoto\, Japan \n \n  \n\nThe X-Ray Imaging and Spectroscopy Mission (XRISM)\, launched on September 7th\, 2023\, is \n a collaborative mission between JAXA and NASA\, with contributions from over 70 institutions in Japan\, the U.S.\, Canada\, and Europe. With the successful combination of high-resolution spectroscopy and wide-field imaging\, XRISM has provided us with an unprecedented view of the Universe\, opening a new era of high-energy astronomy. \nThis conference will highlight the scientific achievements from the first two years of XRISM and identify key issues we should address in the next observation cycles. Conference topics also cover theoretical studies related to XRISM observations and synergies with other observatories\, including future missions. \nTopics\n\nFormation of the largest structure in the Universe\nChemical evolution of the Universe\nActive galactic nuclei and their environment\nEndpoint of stellar evolution\nAccretion and outflow in compact objects\nNew physics with high-resolution X-ray spectroscopy\nXRISM for multi-wavelength/multi-messenger astronomy\n\n\n  \n
