The second TALES training took place at the Petnica Science Center, Serbia. The event combined a Smart Data Technologies and a Core Professional Skills workshop. The former was designed in a form of a Hackathon by external experts, Paula Sanchez-Saez (ESO), Paolo Bonfini (AstroStat Academy), offering real-world training in machine learning applications to astrophysics. This 3-day intensive data challenge/hackathon aimed for the TALES’s doctoral candidates (DCs) to develop advanced computational tools for analyzing AGN light curves and time-series in general. The latter focused on Oral & Written Communication Skills and was delivered by Skills4Science.
